Coach Ferguson currently serves as the offensive coordinator and QB coach at Tusculum College in Tennessee. Prior to the 2016 football season, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Jacksonville University. He has nearly two decades of coaching experience.
 
Ferguson was the quarterbacks coach for the JU Dolphins in 2015 after serving as the assistant offensive line coach in 2014. Jacksonville won the Pioneer Football League championship during the 2014 season and finished with a record of 10-2 as Ferguson assisted the head coach and offensive coordinator in the multiple pro offense philosophy. He was also responsible for teaching and developing fundamental skills of the offensive line in the running and passing game.
 
Ferguson also coached for five seasons with the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League, helping the team win the 2011 ArenaBowl championship and compiling a 10-4 record as interim head coach, including an appearance in ArenaBowl XXVIII, during the 2015 season. While with the Sharks, Ferguson was defensive line coach, offensive line coach, assistant head coach, special teams coordinator and director of player personnel.
 
Prior to his arrival in Jacksonville, Ferguson spent two seasons at Division II Tiffin University, where he was wide receivers coach in 2009 and running game coordinator, offensive line and running backs coach during the 2010 season. Ferguson was also the team's strength coach and was the assistant special teams coordinator.
 
Ferguson was a strength coach assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League in both 2005 and 2008, with responsibilities for assisting the strength and conditioning coach in all areas of the program, both in the weight room and through drills. Ferguson was also assistant strength coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2000 and 2001 seasons.
 
He also spent three seasons (2001-03) as assistant coach and strength coach with the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe, helping the franchise to back-to-back appearances in the World Bowl. Under his tutelage, the Fire had the league's top rushing offense in 2002 and ranked second in both 2001 and 2003.
